A lifelong LA native, Ruben’s journey into the world of swimming began during his high school years at William S. Hart High School. It was there that he discovered his passion for swimming, joining the school’s swim team and laying the groundwork for what would become a lifelong pursuit.

After graduating, Ruben relocated from Santa Clarita to West Hollywood, where he began offering private swim lessons. What started as a side hustle has now grown into I Swim LA, a trusted name in the Los Angeles swim community.
